I think Luke feels very upset about not being able to leave his room. First, Luke does not really have that much to do in his room because he is all alone up there and when you are alone you basicly can not do anything fun.Second, the only thing that Luke can actually do up there is look out the vent but that can also be boring because sometimes there is nothing to look at so by that time your room would be completely boring. Finally, Luke is a very nice child and he should not have to sit in his room/attic allday and do nothing I mean seriously his parents should at least let him switch lives with one of his brothers and have one of them live his life and then maybe he willsee how misrable it is to be a shadow child and start being respectful to Luke because as an older brother you should be the mature one not the mean, selfish one.I hope at some point in Lukes life he will finally get to be a nrmal child that has nothing and no one to hide from.

I think is not happy about having to be in his room all the time. First I think Luke thinks he is so bored with his room he barley cares anymore. He should have more things to do besides read the same books over and over again, play with some toys and look through the vent which he isn't even allowed to do. Next I think Lukes parents should loosen up a bit on Luke because how would you handle his life. Lastly I think Luke feels that they don't even want him anymore because it's bad enough he is alone for most of the day but his family doesn't even act like they like coming to visit him. Matthew and Mark were probably forced by their mother to come visit him and they barley smile at him. Lukes dad is just worried about money all the time and doesn't realize that it doesn't matter how much money you have if your with your family. And Lukes mom is very nice to Luke but she needs to stop worring about him getting caught. I hope Luke will someday not face these issues but until then he needs to stay strong.

Luke feels very angry about being kept in his bedroom. First, he is angry because he feels as if he is being shut out from the real world. Next, he feels angry because he feels like his parents are being over protected. Finally, he feels like his parents do not love him. As you can clearly see Luke feels very angry about being shut up in his room.~

Not being allowed to leave his bedroom gives Luke some different feelings. One of Luke’s feelings can be jealousy. I think this because your brothers get to ride in the front seat of the car with their hand out the window, go to school (page 7), let his relatives know about them, and that kind of stuff. Another one of his feelings might be anger because now that the workers are cutting down the trees (page 1). That was Luke’s only place to play and go outside. My third feeling that Luke could have could be anger. I believe this because the Population Police only let people have two children. He might also be mad at the woods men because once again that was his only place to be free, go outside, and that might be the farthest way from home he will ever go because he is a shadow child. Luke has some different feelings because he is not allowed out of his room.
