Even though Luke has to stay hidden he still has feelings about it. His feelings might be angry with the Population Police because he is not allowed to be seen by anyone. (Page 3) Luke might also be feeling angry with not only the Police, but also with the builders for taking away the forest he played in. (Page 1) He also might be feeling depressed because he can’t be a normal kid like his brothers Mathew and Mark. He might feel that way because he can’t go to school, be seen, and now go outside, also do chores. In conclusion, being hidden doesn’t mean that you don’t have any feelings about it.
I liked how you made the start and end very clearly with a topic sentence and an ending sentence. You explained why you say it after you make the statement which is really great!!!! Your post was fantastic. Make sure to keep it in the shadows though or we will be caught by the population police!!!!
Luke has many feelings about being a illegal even though he may not show it. First, he might be angry at the population police for making him and the other shadow children illegal. Next, he might be angry at his parents for getting pregnant in the first place and being a way one protected. Then, he might be angry at the barons (super rich people) ,government , and builders for taking away his love for the outdoors where he could be free and not feel like a normal child and not a shadow child. Another, reason he might be angry at the government is because they and the population police could just shoot him just because he is a illegal but it isn't his fault after all he is just a kid . Lastly, he might be angry at his brothers because they make fun of him just because he is a mommy's boy I mean it isn;t his fault his father hardly ever pay attention to him just because he is never going to be able to do a mans work as his father likes to call it just because he can't do what his father envisioned him doing. As you can clearly see Luke does have feelings about being hidden even though he may not show it.
On line four meant over protected
I think you had very good details and a well thought out paragraph about Luke. You did a wonderful job!
Thanks Avery!!!! Yours too!!!!
I think Luke is very sad that he can not go outside and enjoy the sunshine. First of all Luke should be able to go outside. I mean seriously, isn't everyone telling us to go outside and get fresh air instead of sitting aroud all day. Second, Luke should not have to sit around in his room all day and watch his brothers go play outside and drive around in his dads truck. Finally, I think Luke should at least be able to to go sit at the kitchen table with his family. According to the story Luke must be pretty upset about what he has to go through.
I think there are many feelings that look has that might be hidden like luke himself. I think he is angry that he has to stay hidden [p.3]. I think he feels disappointed that he can't be like his brothers and have friends go to school be seen. And I do think he and his dad don't a good bond because of what Luke is not able to do. I think Luke should talk to his mom about these feelings but I don't think he likes to make worry about him. I think Luke is sad also that his woods were taken away but it seems to me that Luke has low expectations for what he can and can not do so low that this might just add to the long list of Not allowed to do.
I liked how you made it very clear and specific. It is a very good blog post.
