The ways of Abilene's and Edward's relationship is how Abilene is so loyal to Edward. On p.6 it reads "Abilene's parents found it charming that Abilene considered Edward real. " when Abilene says "Papa, I'm afraid Edward didn't catch that last bit" is an example. (p. 4)Also, of all the dolls in the world, Edward has the most clothes.A sentence from the book is "The china rabbit was in possession of an extraordinary wardrobe of clothes, shoes, and a watch.(all very expensive) Then on p.21 Abilene reaches for Edward and says" What about Edward? Will he come with us on the Queen Mary?". This means that Abilene wanted Edward to come with her on the Queen Mary. Finally, if it weren't for Abilene, Edward would not own everything he does now.But Edward does not appreciate everything Abilene does for him.Any how, he does wait for Abilene when she is at school. Which does show a little appreciation from Edward to Abilene. All along, Edward and Abilene have a very good relationship.

I think the relationship between Edward and Abilene is sort of complete, but not 100%. Edward means the world to Abilene, and Abilene cares for him a lot. On page 7, she says, “Papa, I'm afraid that Edward didn't catch that last bit." On page 4, the book says," Every morning after she dressed herself for school, Abilene dressed Edward." On page 5, the book says," On page 8, the book says," 'I love you Edward,' Abilene said each night after Pelligrina had left. She said those words and then she waited, almost as if she expected Edward to say something in return." On page 17, Abilene says," Edward, oh Edward. I love you. I never want you to be away from me." On page 23, the book says,” Abilene sat up in bed. ‘I think that Edward needs to sit here with me,’ she said, ‘so that Edward can hear the story, too.’ Abilene picked up Edward, sat him next to her in bed, and arranged the covers around him; then she said to Pelligrina, ’We are ready now.’” On page 34, the book says, “‘Edward,’ said Abilene, ‘I love you. I don’t care how old I get, I will always love you.’”

Reagan I love that you used a lot of detail and page numbers ,but did you ever think about putting page numbers after a sentence so you always didn't start with the same beginning.

I think Abilene and Edward have a descent relationship.First,I think Abilene thinks more of Edward than Edward thinks of Abilene. i know this because at the dinner table Edward barely pays attention to Abilene and in bed Abilene says can you read that again Edward didn't catch it. Secondly, I think Edward is a little full of himself because he has all these fancy things that Abilene gave to him. I think he should respect Abilene a little more. I Know Edward is full of himself because he thinks he is so special and fragile because he is a china doll like when he thinks Abilene is squeezing him to tight. Abilene is Just trying to tell Edward she loves him. Lastly, Edward isn't thankful. I know Edward isn't thankful because when anyone did something nice for him he never thought they gave him something useful or good . That is why I think Abilene and Edwards friendship is not going to last long, good or 100%.
