I chose Luke's mom. She is a dynamic character because she doesn't really pay attention to Luke in the beginning but at the end once Luke tells her he is leaving, she takes off work to spend time with him. She also becomes fond of him in the time he was there. Finally when he is about to leave her husband also took off work with her. These are reasons why Mrs.Garner is a dynamic character.

I think you did a good job, but you should give more detail; did anything in the middle of the story happen that made her change?

I chose a static character. My character was Jen. First,at the beginning, Jen told Luke that they need to get their freedom and all. "The population police will never find us, we can, and will do what other people do" she would say. Second, in the middle, Jen was making all these plans on how to escape and fight for freedom. She had a lot of people on the computer that were shadow children too. She finally convinced them all to go with her. Lastly, when Jen went to the White House to complain, she still had the same thoughts," I will one day be free, even if they kill me, shadow children will one day be free." I would bet, if you asked her now if she was still alive would she keep fighting for freedom. She would say yes.

Jen is a static character for many reasons. My first reason is she is always fighting for freedom. The second reason is she wasn't changing her way of opinion about what was happening. Finally she was always bold and daring though the end. These are my reasons Jen is a static character
